See 1st Chron 29:18
First of all, David looked to God.
Secondly, David knew of God's track record with His people.
Thirdly, David asked God to "fix" the hearts of His people in their devotion to Him.
So, we can also look to God. That is, to exercise our faith in God. Faith is like breathing, it's something we do day by day, throughout the day, and not just on Sundays or Wed's etc.
No, Faith is that active trust and dependence upon God.
The God we trust in, has demonstrated His faithfulness to His people. Going way back to Abraham, to Isaac, to the nation of Israel, and all the way up till this very day. God can be trusted.
In looking to God, we can ask Him to "fix", or establish our hearts towards Him. In other words, we can ask Him to help us to simply keep looking to Him. God is able to work in our hearts, and will work in our hearts as we humble ourselves before Him.
Let's pray right now. Father, as we lift up our hearts to You today, we do so because You are worthy, and because we trust You, and because we need You. Will You Fix our hearts towards You Lord. We pray that You will. We love you in Jesus name. Amen...
1Ch 29:18 “O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and fix their heart toward You.
